Mechanical Engineer
As a Mechanical Engineer on our team, you will drive end-to-end design from concept through prototype testing and production handoff under the supervision of our senior Mechanical engineer. You’ll collaborate closely with Antenna, Systems, Electronics, and Software teams to deliver innovative, reliable, and manufacturable RF solutions that meet rigorous performance and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Mechanical solutions (e.g. cooling system, rack, antenna mounts, etc) for phased array systems using Inventor.
- Review design and deployment plan.
- Liaise with manufacturers.
- Create documentation detailing design choices on a shared information platform such as Confluence.
- Actively participate in design reviews, hardware plan, antenna testing and deployment.
- Actively maintain version control.
- Work closely with Antenna, Systems and Electronics to create prototype design with future manufacturing in mind.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2+ years of hands-on hardware design, preferably for large embedded system products.
- Proficiency with inventor.
- First experience of delivering complex hardware, preferably in fast-paced start-up or scale-up environments.
- Eligible for Australian security clearance.
Desirable Skills & Attributes:
- Experience with power distribution and network management.
- Hands-on rack or sub-system design.
- Ability to be mentored by our senior Mechanical engineer.
